Trustees Meeting
Monday, January 22, 2007
Minutes
The meeting was called to order by President Diana Nazelli at 7:35 p.m. Those present included Trustee Stephen Thomas and Clerk Elizabeth Boles.
MINUTES: The minutes from the last meeting were read. A motion was made, seconded and unanimously passed to accept the minutes as read.
OLD BUSINESS
TOWN HALL FUND RAISING/ARTS DISTRICT:
A second meeting of the Arts District was held. The participants were Mr. Charles Bentz, Ms. Jean Hood, Village Councilmen Dwight Milko & Bob Williams, Village Council President Steve Patton, and the Township Trustees.
One of the decisions made was to consult Craig Cawrse and Julie Lindner, Village Urban Planners.
The next Arts District Meeting will be held at the Shute Building on January 27 at 9:00 am.
The Trustees would like to name Chagrin-area residents as Honorary Co-Chairmen for fund raising purposes.
TOWN HALL STUDY: No report.
OBTAINING A 501C3:
Trustee Thomas reported the Articles of Incorporation will be filed this week.
A draft of the 501C3Application (tax info.) was discussed. (see attached)
A motion was made, seconded and unanimously passed to authorize Trustee Thomas to serve as the Township Trustees' "authorized representative as an officer or director of the Chagrin Foundation for Arts & Culture", until further notice.
TOWNSHIP HALL RENTALS:
A motion was made, seconded and unanimously passed to increase Ellen Hunt's salary to $200.00 a month.
President Nazelli will find out the rental fees for local rental places such as Bainbridge Town Hall, Washington Party Center, Gamekeeper's Boardroom, etc.
The Village Summer Concerts will be held at Hamlet if it rains, according to Jean Hood.
TOWNSHIP HALL MAINTENANCE:
Roofer John Jackson repaired the leak around the threshold of the upstairs fire escape door.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
