Falls Township Trustees Meeting
Tuesday, February 8, 2005
Minutes
The meeting was called
to order by President Stephen Thomas at 7:35 p.m. Those present
included Trustee Diana Nazelli, Trustee Jeff Homans, and Clerk Elizabeth
Boles.
MINUTES: The minutes from the last meeting
were read. A motion was made, seconded and unanimously passed to
accept the minutes as read.
OLD BUSINESS
BRICK ROAD PROJECT:
• Township resident and Clerk Elizabeth Boles reported her
mailbox has been temporarily fixed by the County.
TOWN HALL RENTALS:
• The “BACK THE REC” Committee headed by Sally
Florkiewicz, would like to use the Town Hall for their annual benefit
the last Saturday in April only if a donated spot in the Village
does not work out. They will not pay for the rental unless they
actually use the Hall.
• The Trustees agreed that “Back the Rec” can book
the Hall as long as there is no renter that wants to use it the
same night.
TOWN HALL MAINTENANCE: No report.
TOWN HALL STUDY & RENOVATIONS:
• Trustee Nazelli is preparing to draft a letter to people
and organizations who are interested in renovating Town Hall. She
would like to find an organization that would interested in helping.
• She stated, and the other Trustees agreed, the decision to
go forward with the Town Hall project should come from the community
not the Trustees.
504 NORTH MAIN STREET/FOLTZAPPEAL:
• President Thomas reported he has copied all correspondence
to the other two Trustees.
• Trustees Nazelli & Homans reported they have received
the correspondence.
REVERSE 911:
• President Thomas reported he received a phone call from Mayor
Lydia Champlin about the Reverse 911. She wanted to know if the
Township was interested in participating and President Thomas said
“yes”. The other Trustees agreed.
• It will be $130.00 for the first year covering the whole
unincorporated Township.
• The Village would like the Trustees to circulate a form to
ask residents if they do not want to participate.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
