Falls Township Trustees Meeting
Tuesday, April 26, 2005
Minutes
The meeting was called to order by President
Stephen Thomas at 7:40 p.m. Those present included Trustee Diana
Nazelli, Trustee Jeff Homans, and Clerk Elizabeth Boles.
MINUTES: The minutes from the last meeting
were read. A motion was made, seconded and unanimously passed to
accept the minutes as read.
FINANCIAL REPORT: The Trustees acknowledged
receipt of the March, 2005 Financial Report as prepared by Clerk
Elizabeth Boles. A detailed report is on file in the Township office.
OLD BUSINESS
BRICK ROAD PROJECT:
• President Thomas announced he walked the brick road after
a heavy rain and noticed there was a build-up of water in the culvert
by 621 Falls Road and 625 Falls Road due to debris. Everything else
looked to be draining well.
• President Thomas received a letter from the County Engineer’s
office that included a report from DICK Corp. (engineering company)
about the premature deterioration and failure of brick pavement
installed in 2004 along with seven observations. (see file for letter)
• Recommendation in letter: Removal and replacement of all
damaged brick. The brick should be cleaned, laid and resealed.
• Trustee Nazelli reported she talked with the County Engineer’s
Office about the one-way route on Falls Road. She was told that
all residents should obey the signs and if they had any questions,
they should contact the Supervisor. President Thomas said he would
call Stonecreek Drive resident Dr. Peter Yang to address Dr. Yang’s
particular concerns.
TOWN HALL RENTALS: No report.
TOWN HALL MAINTENANCE: No report.
TOWN HALL STUDY & RENOVATIONS:
• Elizabeth Murphy, architect, will have her recommendation
ready for the next Trustees’ meeting.
ZONING COMMISSION OF TOWNSHIP:
• The Zoning Commission will meet on April 27, 2005 at Chagrin
Town Hall at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the amended Zoning Resolutions.
NEW BUSINESS
CHAGRIN RIVER WATERSHED PARTNERS:
• There will be a meeting on May 12, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. Trustee
Homans will attend this meeting.
AFTER-PROM PARENTS COMMITTEE:
• The Trustees received a request from the APPC for a donation
toward this year’s prom night. A motion was made, seconded
and unanimously passed to send the APPC $50.00. Clerk Boles will
send this donation.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
