Trustees Meeting
Monday, September 26, 2005
Minutes
The meeting was called to order by President
Stephen Thomas at 7:40 p.m. Those present included Trustee
Diana Nazelli, Trustee Jeff Homans and Clerk Elizabeth Boles.
MINUTES: The minutes from the
last meeting were read. A motion was made, seconded and unanimously
passed to accept the minutes as read.
OLD BUSINESS
BRICK ROAD PROJECT:
- The County is currently re-doing the damaged
brick road in Moreland Hills.
- Trustee Nazelli reported she went to the monthly
public meeting last week and was told that only 400 feet of
brick are needed to complete the project.
- Trustee Nazelli reported there are piles of salvage
bricks in different areas around town.
TOWN HALL RENTALS:
- The Village of Chagrin Falls would like to rent
the Town Hall for free during the day on 12/31/05. The
Trustees agreed the Village could rent it for free.
- Mr. David Griffiths would like to rent the Town
Hall the evening of 10/3/05. The Trustees agreed Mr. Griffiths
should ask the monthly renters, Jazzercize & Yoga, if this
would be all right. Trustee Nazelli said she would follow
up on this request.
- The Yoga Class may be behind in their rent.
TOWN HALL MAINTENANCE: No
report.
TOWN HALL STUDY & RENOVATIONS:
- Trustee Nazelli reported the Village of Chagrin
Falls took out the sidewalk in front of the Town Hall about
a week ago. The coal chute was cemented in.
- Mr. Himes of CF Village said the Township was
notified this was going to happen but at the end of the inquiry,
the Township was not notified.
- The Village put in expansion joints, sand &
gravel in coal chute, all to protect the existing foundation
from being damaged, the concrete binding to the foundation.
- Trustee Nazelli expressed the importance of putting
a plan into place for raising private funds. She has been
accumulating data on experts who raise funds for historic sites.
Trustee Homans suggested Elizabeth Murphy help in handling this
issue.
ZONING RESOLUTION AMENDMENTS:
- The Public Meeting to discuss the Amendments
to the Zoning Resolutions will be held tomorrow, 9/27/05, at
8:00 pm at the Town Hall. Ms. Dreyfus-Wells is planning
to attend.
NEW BUSINESS
INTERGOVERNMENTAL MEETING:
- Trustee Homans plans to attend this meeting on
10/8/05.
NEW MEMBER TO ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS:
- President Thomas announced that Winkie Raleigh
has moved out of the Township and a new board member is needed
to take her place.
- The Trustees agreed that Margie Rosnovak Yang
of Stonecreek Drive will be asked to take Mrs. Raleigh's place.
President Thomas will ask Mrs. Yang.
- The Trustees will discuss adding two alternate
members to the BZA.
The meeting was unanimously adjourned
at 8:20 p.m.
