Chagrin Falls Township Trustees
Meeting
Tuesday, October 25, 2005

The meeting was called to order by President Stephen Thomas at 7:35p.m.  Those present included Trustee Diana Nazelli, Trustee Jeff Homans, and Clerk Elizabeth Boles.

MINUTES:  The minutes from the last meeting were read.  A motion was made, seconded and unanimously passed to accept the minutes as read.

OLD BUSINESS

BRICK ROAD PROJECT:  No report.

TOWN HALL RENTALS

  • The Chagrin Falls High School Drama teacher, Pat Henderson, would like to borrow 14 chairs for a production of “Our Town”. 
  • A motion was made, seconded and unanimously passed to allow the teacher to borrow the chairs.

TOWN HALL MAINTENANCE

  • Trustee Nazelli reported she has received estimates from Mr. Arnold and Mr. Medhurst for work on the Town Hall (see file).  Trustee Nazelli made a motion to hire Mr. Arnold for the Town Hall masonry work and Mr. Tanbascio, the gutterman” for the gutter work.  The motion was carried with two yeas and one abstention by President Thomas.  President Thomas moved that Mr. Tanbascio also do the gutters on the side of the driveway.  This motion was also unanimously carried.
  • Trustee Nazelli announced the new electrician doing the Village work by and inside Town Hall is Doug Williams of D.E. Williams.  Mr. Williams pointed out it is a very tight working space in the basement.
  • Mr. Paul Pointer, President of the CV Jaycees, was notified about electricians working in their rental space (the den).

TOWN HALL STUDY & RENOVATIONS:  No report.

ZONING RESOLUTION AMENDMENTS

  • Trustees Public Meeting will be held after this meeting at 8:00 p.m.

NEW MEMBERS TO BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

  • President Thomas announced Margie Yang accepted the position left vacant by Winkie Raleigh. A motion was made, seconded and unanimously passed to accept Margie Rosnovak Yang as a new member of the BZA.
  • The Trustees agreed that President Thomas will ask Lexie Johnson, Brooke Spectorsky and Kevin McMullen (in this order) to fill the rest of the vacancies, including two alternates.

TOWNSHIP SIGNS:  No report.

 

NEW BARN AT 636 FALLS ROAD:

  • President Thomas reported the County Prosecutor’s office stated there is no control over any agricultural property over five acres in size in any Ohio Township.  This includes building, zoning, etc.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
